Twitter Extensions

This week I have been up to making some of the most popular twitters accessible via google chrome. These popular tweets include:

News:

    Comedy:

    Artists:

    Sports:

    Others:

The latest tweets can be accessed almost instantly by clicking the icon.

Here is an example of the CNN twitter extension. You can get all the tweets by a single click.

I have around 40 more popular twitters to add. If there is any particular you want, you can request it in the comments.

    1. This might work better as a single extension. Instead of individual extensions for each popular account, it could be a single extension. The popup could have a drop down list or something that displayed the top 100 twitter accounts and the user could select the one they wanted to look at (and it would remember who they last looked at).

    2. Hi pator, thanks for your advice. There are 3 reasons I decided to release it as separate extensions:

      1) People can follow more than one twitter easily
      2) The extension icon would represent what the logo or photo of what they are reading
      3) people may not always know which twitter to follow.

While 1 may be solved technically, I'm not sure about the easiness of 2.

Anyways, I will try to follow your advice if I can get satisfied with the results.

      Cheers. :)

    3. 1) They can follow just as easily with a dropdown menu. They simply select the account they want to view
      2) Use a generic Twitter logo. If the user selects a person to view on Twitter then they don't need reminded by having their picture/logo displayed too
      3) ? If they don't know which account to follow then why would they use it at all?

Just make one combined 'Top Twitter' accounts extension. This can be updated by adding/removing accounts over time as they become popular/disused. Otherwise you will be forever adding new extensions for the 'next big thing' (and possibly have one hell of a cluttered menu bar) :)
